The theme for this edition is, “The Short Film and the Aesthetics of Cameroonian Cinema.”During the press conference the organisers reiterated their preference for short films. They argue that short film is a flexible style of cinema and provides an opportunity for sponsors to help artists continue to live from their work.This year’s edition will be punctuated by a sub-regional meeting of actors of short film.The meeting to be attended by producers and actors will be organised in partnership with the Goethe Institute.The upcoming edition of RIFIC will exceptionally partner with the Cannes Pan-African Festival of Clermont Ferrand. This partnership will facilitate the wide distribution of Cameroonian film.The six-day event brings together professionals and amateurs of performing arts, critics and the media.The event will host activities in the festival village at the Cameroon Cultural Centre (CCC).
