The native of Souza,  Dimbombari Subdivision, Littoral, died Monday 16th October 2017 after battling with throat cancer since 2011.The footballer and former coach was signed up for Etoile of Mbanga in 1958 and later Kiaman of Douala, Diamand of Yaounde and PWD Bamenda.He was later shortlisted as one of the  Indomitable Lions in the days of Isaac Mbede, Mba PelepeLéonard Nseke also captained the Cameroon National Football team from 1959-1966.Twice he was coach of the Indomitable Lions; first in the late 1970s and then in 1994.As coach, he master-minded Cameroon’s qualification for the 1994 World Cup in the United States of America but was later dropped by the then Minister of Sports in favour of a Frenchman.Since his death, friends ,family and Cameroonians recount stories of his past.His Bonamoussadi residence in Douala is flooded with mourners visiting to express condolences to the family.Benly Anchunda
