The meeting is in view of the appointment of the members of the normalisation committee at the Cameroon Football Federation. The highly awaited team arrived Cameroon in the late hours of Wednesday 6th September 2017.The team headed by Veron Mosengo Omba, had an in-camera discussions at FECAFOOT with officials of the Federation before moving to  the cabinet of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Bidoung Mkpatt.According to Veron Mosengo Omba, neither FIFA nor CAF has strained relationships with the Cameroonian Football governing body or the government of Cameroon.In his words, the delegation is in Cameroon to officially appoint and install into office the members of the new Normalisation Committee created by FIFA on 23rd August 2017.The joint delegation he added  has nothing to do with the upcoming 2019 AFCON to be hosted by Cameroon.Following the tentative programme of the CAF/FIFA joint delegation, the team will discuss with stakeholders in football and eventually appoint the members of the Normalisation Committee at the FECAFOOT this Friday 8th September 2017.On Friday 8th September 2017 the delegation will officially install the new team before taking off on Saturday 9th September 2017.
