The opening ceremony was chaired by the President of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifendji, President Paul Biya\'s personal representativeThe ceremony began with a fifteen minute welcome address from the Government Delegate of the Yaounde City Council.Next was the President of the Pan-african Parliament Hon. Roger Nkodo Dang who expressed gratitude to the Head of State for endorsing the meeting.H.E Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chair person of the African Union Commission (AUC) argued that it was time for governments to adopt decisions of the Pan-african parliament.Goodwill messages also came from Hon Michael Gahler of the European Parliament, H.E Michaelle Jean, Secretary General of La Francophonie ( OIF), Prof. Emmanuel Nnandozie, Executive Secretary of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF), Prof Adebayo Olushiki, Regional Director for Africa and West Asia International IDEA.Mr Edem Kodjo , former Prime Minister of Togo and former Secretary General of the Organization of African Union ( OAU) gave the keynote address.Kathy Neba Sina (intern)
