The West region has finished first at the just ended National Primary School Games, FENASCO B Games with a total of thirty-one medals; thirteen in gold, 10 silver and eight bronze.The west confirmed her supremacy by retaining the title obtained during the 2016 edition in Bamenda.The exceptional performance in group and collective sports disciplines kept the region on top of medal chart once again.At the second position is the Far North that obtained a total of twenty-eight medals, twelve in gold.The Centre region comes third with a total of twenty medals, ten in gold .The host, the East region was ranked fourth with seven gold medals.The Littoral emerged fifth with four gold medals, the region was closely followed by the South at the sixth position with a slight difference in the number of silver and bronze medals.The South West region is seventh  out of ten after obtaining the last gold medal at the close of the games this Sunday 8th April 2018.The North West received the fair play trophy and was classified the eighth region.The North and the Adamawa came at the nine and tenth place respectively with one gold medal each.The Minister of Basic Education, Alim Hadija precided over the colourful closing ceremony.The closing ceremony saw the different delegations marching past symbolically quenching the flame of the edition .The rendez-vous was taken for Maroua for the 2019 FENASCO B Games.Benly Anchunda
